MiniMAC: Back and Better Than Ever!

 

MeneMAC seniors are again mentoring their "MiniMAC" counterparts from Moanalua Elementary School. Eleven students of teacher Kim Sumida, spend some of their afterschool time learning the principles and techniques of video production.

 

This year, the high school team, advised by Kelly Calistro, is comprised of Cody Wright, Aaron James, Shaneika Aguilar, and Jody Yafuso.

 

MiniMAC-ers learn the basics and progress to entering productions in the Olelo Youth XChange competition in the spring. Pretty impressive investment of time and talent!

 

 



MeneMAC Moves to the Middle!

For the past several years, upper division MeneMAC students have been providing training and mentoring to "MiniMACers" from Moanalua Elementary School. This year, we have extended this opportuity to students from Moanalua Middle.

 

Senior Jody Yafuso is pursuing her Senior Project credit by designing and implementing a video production program for 35-40 future videographers, who stay on after the regular school day for the sessions.
